Follow-up reminders for LinkedIn®
Save a LinkedIn profile, decide when to follow up, and get reminded by email, in your browser and through the Chrome extension.
LinkTrack is a CRM for people who work on LinkedIn, such as recruiters and sales teams. Every saved profile can carry its own follow-up reminders, and Smart Follow points out the people you forgot to schedule.
Why LinkedIn follow-ups slip
- ▸LinkedIn conversations have no due dates. A thread that goes quiet simply sinks down the inbox.
- ▸Calendar and spreadsheet reminders live away from the person, so you lose the context of the conversation.
- ▸After two busy weeks, nobody remembers who was promised a reply on Thursday.
How LinkedIn follow-up reminders work
1. Save the profile
Open the LinkedIn profile, click "Get details" in the Chrome extension, then "Save to LinkTrack". The person lands in your pipeline.
2. Set the reminder
In your dashboard, pick a date and time and a type: follow-up, call, email, message or meeting. Make it repeat daily, weekly or monthly if you need to.
3. Get reminded
When it is due, you get a notification in your browser if LinkTrack is open, a desktop notification from the Chrome extension, and an email if you are away. Quiet hours pause email and browser notifications.
4. Follow up or snooze
Mark it done, or snooze it for an hour, until tomorrow or until next week. Repeating reminders schedule the next one automatically.
Smart Follow: reminders for the people you forgot
Not every contact gets a reminder. Smart Follow looks at your whole pipeline and lists who needs attention today, for example:
- ▸No contact for 14 days or more
- ▸Going quiet: 7 to 14 days without contact
- ▸A gentle nudge after 3 days
- ▸In the interview or meeting stage and silent for 3+ days
- ▸Stuck in the same stage
- ▸Saved recently, but not contacted yet
You can adjust the day thresholds and turn rules on or off. Smart Follow and automatic reminders (on days 3, 5 and 7 after you save someone) are on the paid plans. Every plan gets a weekly summary email on Monday morning.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set follow-up reminders for LinkedIn contacts for free?
Yes. The free plan includes up to 5 active reminders, with email, browser and extension notifications. Smart Follow and automatic reminders are on the paid plans.
Does LinkTrack send the follow-up message for me?
No. LinkTrack reminds you; you write and send the message yourself. It never sends messages or connection requests and never acts on your LinkedIn account.
How will I be notified?
By a browser notification while LinkTrack is open, a desktop notification from the Chrome extension, and by email. You can turn email reminders off and set quiet hours in Settings.
Can I set recurring reminders?
Yes. A reminder can repeat daily, weekly or monthly. When you complete one, the next one is scheduled for you.
Can I assign a follow-up to a teammate?
Yes, on the Team plan. Assign a reminder to someone in your shared workspace and it shows up in their reminders and notifications.
